The next medal in Tokyo! Jakob Schubert climbed to bronze, a victory in the lead secured the Tyrolean precious metal.
Three nerve-wracking competitions – speed, bouldering and lead climbing – are behind us, only in the absolute finish did Schubert overtake his competitors and grab bronze.
The 30-year-old finished last in the speed competition and only fifth in bouldering. But in his favorite discipline Voerstieg, Schubert stayed ice cold and climbed all the way to the top.
With the victory in the lead, the Tyrolean moved up to third place and celebrates bronze.
