Ukrainian air defense is made of everything that was

Ignat noted that in fact, the Ukrainian air defense system is made from what it was. The Ukrainians have “golden hands”, and the defenders of the Ukrainian sky too.

They either adapt American HARM missiles to Ukrainian fighters, or they create an air defense system from what they have. – said the representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He added: the uniqueness lies in the fact that the complexes of the 70s effectively resist high-tech cruise missiles with elements of the stealth system of 2015 and newer. The air defense system was created from all the defense forces.

“People in every combat unit, from the National Guard to the ground forces, have learned how to use MANPADS, both Soviet and those provided by our partners,” Ignat emphasized.

The enemy cannot fly into the interior of the country

A representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that due to this, the enemy has not been able to fly into the interior of the country for 4 months. The Ukrainian defenders of the sky control the lower and upper echelons.

The enemy realized that nothing would allow him to cling to the ground or fly high, he stressed.

Ignat continued: the only thing left is missile terrorism from the occupiers. However, there are shifts here too. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are waiting for modern air defense systems.

“These are Norwegian NASAMS systems, German IRIS-T. Then we will make our air defense even more unique and multifaceted,” said the speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the invaders violate the airspace of Ukraine only on the line of collision. There they use their helicopters and attack bombers. Our planes are also fighting in this zone. We effectively counter enemy aircraft. However, unfortunately, we ourselves sometimes suffer losses.
