Cosmonaut Borisenko commented on the news of the impending mission to Venus

Pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Andrei Borisenko commented on the news that in 2029 Russia is planning the first launch of a mission to Venus in the country's history.

We are talking about the interplanetary station “Venera-D”, which consists of an orbital and landing apparatus for a comprehensive study of the atmosphere of Venus, its surface, internal structure and surrounding plasma.

Venus is interesting to study in that it belongs to the planets of the so-called terrestrial group, explained Borisenko in an interview with the TV channel “360”.

According to him, this planet has a fairly active atmosphere and, according to current data, active volcanology.

“There is a theory, there is a version that she (Venus. – RT ) is a mirror of our past, when the Earth was at about the same stage of development,” added Borisenko.

Earlier, test pilot Andrei Voropaev, in an interview with Inforeactor, told how he chose a profession.
