Crimea will be liberated by military means: Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named 2 options
The Russians are already building a line of defense in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukraine will liberate the peninsula only by military means.
This was stated in a commentary on Channel 24 by a military expert, a retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan. He noted that in order to liberate the temporarily occupied peninsula, Ukraine needs to recruit forces and means, which then must carry out combat missions.
“This is both equipment and ammunition, of course, trained military personnel. After all, equipment does not shoot by itself,” he said.
Roman Svitan noted that the approach to this is complex and is being implemented now. After all, the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already being trained at the training grounds of Europe, the USA and Canada.
“The transfer of equipment is underway. The equipment will just come in somewhere before the end of March – the beginning of April already with trained crews and will go into battle,” the military expert said.

Two options for the liberation of Crimea
He noted that the Crimea will be dismissed only by military means.
There are no diplomatic, military-diplomatic, political-diplomatic and other specific mechanisms for the liberation of Crimea,” the pilot-instructor noted.
The colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve noted that there may be two options for the liberation of the occupied peninsula.
“A frontal measure, if we don’t have long-range weapons. And then the Crimea will be the same as now with the Donbass. There will be a “lunar landscape” after the front passes,” he said.
According to Svitan, the second option is possible if the Western partners transfer long-range weapons to Ukraine – high-precision weapons that can hit up to 300 kilometers.
“Then we will destroy all stationary military facilities in Crimea from the air within a month with these missiles. And the Russians will have to leave, since there will be no point in defending it,” the instructor pilot said.
The colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve is convinced that the second option for the liberation of Crimea is the best, but it all depends on Ukraine's allies.
