Russian invaders are mercilessly shelling peaceful Ukrainian cities. Head of the State Border Service Sergei Deineko and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov visited dilapidated Chernihiv.

The invaders destroyed the city by 70%. According to the mayor Vladislav Atroshenko, now Chernihiv in places resembles Bucha, and sometimes even Mariupol.

On the 40th day of the fight against Russian invaders, Deineko and Danilov arrived in dilapidated Chernihiv. They, together with their brothers and the chairman of the Chernihiv Higher State Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, raised a blue-and-yellow banner over the border detachment.

Enemy shelling severely damaged its infrastructure. But this is nothing compared to our striving for Freedom and Peace. We will restore everything, as well as restore, together with the Warriors of the country's Defense Forces, control over sections of the state border. He thanked everyone for defending the Motherland, for courage and invincibility, – said the head of the State Border Service.

He added that the flags had already been raised in the border units:

• “Dniprovske”, from which the invasion began in the Chernihiv region,
• “Dobryanka”,
• “Gremyach”.

Deineko summed up that the inevitable victory over the Russian occupiers is approaching every day, because Ukraine is an independent and sovereign state that will remain so.
