Danilov pointed to a huge mistake of the world in relation to Russia
Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, pointed to the mistakes of the world regarding Russian aggression. He stressed that there can be no negotiations with Russia.
Danilov emphasized that everything must be done on time. He recalled that the world “was silent in 2008 about Georgia, when the world was silent in 2014, when Russian terrorists, due to the use of the Buk air defense system, shot down a civilian plane in which there were 298 people, and there were 80 children, of which there were three babies.”
Danilov mentioned MH17
Today is the year 2023 – this terrorist has not incurred any responsibility. On board this liner were 217 citizens of NATO countries. Then does NATO protect its citizens? Or not? I have a big question, he said.
- Recall that on November 17 last year, a court in the Netherlands found Russian citizens Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinsky and Ukrainian citizen Leonid Kharchenko guilty of the crash of flight MH17 and the death of 298 people on board. They received life sentences in absentia and must reimburse the relatives of the victims 16 million euros.
- In addition, the court determined that a Boeing 777 flight MH17 was shot down in July 2014 by a Russian-made missile fired from a field in eastern Ukraine. At the same time, the court found that Russia had “general control” over the armed groups in Donetsk since May 2014.
- Russia reacted to the court's decision, saying that it was under “unprecedented pressure from Dutch politicians.” Subsequently, Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed regret that Russia “was not allowed to participate in the investigation.”
- On February 8, it became known that international prosecutors were completing an investigation into the plane's destruction. Prosecution officials told reporters that they found “clear signs” that Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed on the use of the Russian missile system in Ukraine that shot down the plane. However, they say the evidence implicating Putin and other Russian officials is not clear enough, so they are closing the investigation without bringing new charges.
It is impossible to negotiate anything with Russia
And now the world continues to be afraid of Russia. And this is a huge misconception. The huge mistake of the world is that they believe that they can conduct some kind of negotiations with Russia, that they can agree on something with them, Danilov emphasized.
He also stressed that Russia is a country with which you cannot agree on anything. Because Russians never keep their word.
