According to journalists, the DBR is conducting investigative actions in acting head of the tax service in Kyiv and deputy head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the capital.

Sources of the publication reported that the DBR is investigating the fact of illegal receipt of VAT refunds from the state budget, in particular, through abuse of power and official position by representatives of the tax authorities.

The DBR is looking for corrupt officials in government agencies

• In early December, the State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches in two departments of the Kyiv City State Administration. The case concerns the misuse of recreational land in one of the parks in Kyiv and the abuse of power.
• In January, a large-scale scheme was exposed at the Odessa customs – its employees took money from everyone who transported goods across the border
• Through a few weeks in the Dnieper, people were found who appropriated products destined for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the documents, entrepreneurs indicated one quantity of products, and sent completely different volumes to military units. They resold the rest of the products through a network of intermediaries,
• At the end of the same month, the DBR exposed the head of the territorial recruitment center and the acting chairman of the military medical commission of the military registration and enlistment office in the Lviv region on bribery.
