Bakhmut is a real eastern fortress of Ukraine. Ukrainian heroes powerfully repel the attacks of the Russian invaders and inflict colossal losses on the enemy.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the situation in the East remains difficult. The Russians concentrated all their efforts on the Bakhmut direction.

Around Bakhmut, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily hold back up to 20 attacks of the enemy, who, under cover of artillery fire, attacks the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the ammunition from the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions were delivered to the Bakhmut and Liman directions. As of the end of December, more than 40% of shelling along the line of confrontation from Kupyansk to Marinka falls precisely on the Bakhmut direction.

Vladimir Zelensky said that there is not a single place in Bakhmut not covered in blood. Shelling in the city is heard much more often than silence.

There is not an hour when the terrible roar of artillery does not sound. But Bakhmut stands. Our defense forces are standing. The Ukrainian Donbas is standing, Zelensky said.
