Disney announced the imminent release of a new series about the adventures of Chip and Dale

Walt Disney has announced the release of a new animated series about the adventures of chipmunks Chip and Dale.

The series was titled “Chip and Dale: Life in the Park.” It will begin showing on Disney + on July 28, according to the company's Twitter account.

A teaser for the cartoon was also published. It shows that chipmunks Chip and Dale live in the park and have different adventures. It is not yet known whether other characters from the original cartoon – the mouse Gadget, the rats Roquefort and the fly Zipper – will appear in the frame.

Netizens reacted ambiguously to the new series. In the comments under the Disney post, many wrote that they did not like the drawing of the characters, “they look worse than in the old animated series.” Others called the new cartoon cute and said they were looking forward to its release.

Chipmunks Chip and Dale are some of the most famous and recognizable Disney characters. In the late 1980s, the animated series about these rescuers helping everyone in trouble became the loudest premiere on the Disney cable channel. The series ended in 1990.

The fact that the company will relaunch the animated series was first announced in 2019.
