Drivers should be on the lookout: what is known about car mobilization

There has been a general mobilization since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the legislation states that the authorities can seize private cars for the needs of the Ukrainian army.

Not so long ago, new military accounting rules came into force in Ukraine. Few people know, however, subpoenas can come not only to persons liable for military service, but also to cars. In this material Channel 24 read about how they can “mobilize” transport during martial law.

Seizure of cars for the needs of the Armed Forces< /h2>

It is known that on a quarterly basis, the Ministry of Internal Affairs submits to the territorial collection centers data on registration, conversion and deregistration of certain vehicles. We are talking about cars owned by enterprises, institutions and organizations.

At the same time, it is known that vehicles cannot be seized in:

  • diplomatic and consular offices of other states ;
  • representative offices of international and foreign organizations;
  • foreigners and people without citizenship at all;
  • public sector banks;
  • enterprises, organizations and institutions of high public importance;
  • enterprises, organizations and institutions performing mobilization tasks.

Pay attention! Car mobilization occurs as follows: the government determines the necessary amount of equipment and vehicles needed to carry out mobilization tasks. Subsequently, the authorities distribute this amount among regional administrations, and those – between districts and cities of regional subordination. Then the state administrations, by proxy of the TCC, set limits on the required number of cars and other equipment between enterprises.

We emphasize that the mobilization of transport occurs only through the TCC. In addition, during the process, it must be:

  • the technical condition, mobilization readiness of the car and its residual value are documented;
  • an independent assessment of the vehicle has been carried out, which is carried out at the initiative of the owner and his funds.

Note that within 30 calendar days from the date of the announcement of demobilization through the TCC and social support centers, all vehicles must be returned to their owners. But it is necessary that these owners write appropriate applications to the TCC.

On this topic, we note that now, more than ever, we need to be aware of the topic of general military mobilization, which will take place until the end of the war. You should always check the information on this topic that is circulating on the net, and always re-read authoritative sources.
