Drones launched from 2 directions: the Air Force told the details about the night attack by

On the night of March 18, it was “hot” in many regions. Russian troops launched 16 Shahid UAVs in Ukraine.

On the air of the news telethon, the Representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that during this attack, 3 air commands were working: western, central and eastern. Channel 24 writes about this.

The situation was difficult

The enemy launched kamikaze drones across Ukraine around 9 pm. Unfortunately, the defenders did not manage to shoot down all the targets. Yuri Ignat clarified that the situation was not easy – “Shahids” are hard to shoot down at night with mobile fire groups, because there is no visual reference.

At that time, fire weapons that have radar tools for detecting targets, in particular fighter aircraft, work more effectively against “Shahids” in the dark.

The Russians released drones in 2 directions: where exactly

According to Ignat, most often the Russians launch Shahids from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. From there, the Shaheeds enter the occupied territories across the sea and move further in their direction.

However, on March 17, the Russians launched kamikaze drones in two directions at the same time. In addition to the Sea of Azov, drones were fired from the Bryansk region in order to attack precisely the Kyiv region, the western regions of Ukraine.

Rarely, but they are already allowed in two directions, – Yuriy Ignat specified.
