Due to the threat from Russia, Poland will place HIMARS on the border with the Kaliningrad region

The Polish defense minister stressed that because of Putin's aggressive policy, the state plans to strengthen its armed forces so that he does not dare not to attack him.

Poland will soon deploy HIMARS systems near the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and plans to strengthen its army so that neither Russian President Vladimir Putin nor others who are trying to rebuild the “evil empire” dare to attack the state.

This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, reports Portal Samorządowy.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense announced the organization of new military units on the ground liquidated before 2015. These parts will be equipped with modern equipment.

Blaszczak informed that the units of the 16th Mechanized Division in Olsztyn had recently received Korean K2 tanks and K9 self-propelled howitzers. In addition, the division will soon receive HIMARS rocket launchers .

“The 16th mechanized division is getting stronger and stronger every week, both in terms of the strength of the soldiers and the equipment it has in service,” the defense minister said.

He noted that the units of the division are deployed near the border with the Kaliningrad region.

Blaszczak stressed that because of Putin's aggressive policy, Poland plans to strengthen its armed forces so that the Russian dictator does not dare to attack the country.

We, the Poles, are aware of how dangerous the evil empire is , what kind of Russian empire – how many offenses, how many crimes the Russians committed when they occupied Polish territory. Therefore, our task is to build such a force of the Polish army so that those who today are restoring the evil empire do not dare attack our homeland,” the head of the Defense Ministry stressed.

Recall that in November 2022 it became known that Poland was building a wall on the border with the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation in an accelerated mode.

In February 2023, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas stressed that NATO must be prepared for Russia to try to invade the Baltic states. The minister noted that Lithuania borders on the Kaliningrad region.

On March 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the country's army was conducting radar exercises in the Kaliningrad region. To monitor the sky, powerful radar stations “Gamma”, as well as “Sky” with a range of 500 km are used.
