Alexei Dmitrashkovsky, head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, said this on the air of the telethon. According to him, among the invaders were wounded and killed.

Over the past day, the enemy has suffered significant losses in manpower – about three companies of personnel were killed and wounded, and a fairly large number of equipment and drones were destroyed. – said the military.

He explained that the Defense Forces had significantly thinned out the Russian army in the direction of Donetsk. In particular, Dmitrashkovsky said that on the night of March 15, the enemy tried 5 times to storm the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

Russia misses opportunities for offensive

The military noted that over the past week, the activity of Russians has significantly decreased. This is due to the fact that Russia has reduced both the number of assaults and the density of shelling.

Dmitrashkovsky also added that the enemy army still has fewer opportunities to attack, since in recent weeks it has lost a large number of people in attempts to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military. In addition, the Russians have a difficult situation with ammunition.

Actual losses of occupiers on March 15

Over the past day alone, the Russian army has decreased by 980 people. Consequently, since February 24, 2022, Russia has lost 161,520 of its soldiers. The General Staff clarifies that the calculation is complicated due to the intensity of the fighting.
