Important! Earlier, representatives of the UOC-MP conducted services in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Russians are committing genocide in Ukraine. Meanwhile, in the fall of 2022, in the Lavra, they glorified “Mother Rus'”, which is “waking up”. During a search of the shrine, the SBU found pro-Russian literature, Russian citizens with USSR military ID cards, and millions of cash.
The reaction of Vladimir Zelensky
The Ukrainian leader, while addressing the Ukrainians on January 7, said that this day is historical for Ukraine and the spiritual independence of Ukrainians. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted: he is glad to see how many people attended the historic liturgy.
It is very important that a sincere prayer for Ukraine has been and will be heard in the Lavra today. And that no one else will make Ukrainian a stranger in the Lavra. Ukrainian independence must be strong in all its elements. And it will be. Forever. We provide this with you,” Zelensky said.
Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a shrine, which is one of the sources of Ukrainian cultural tradition.
Notice! The Ukrainians were pleased with the news that January 7 is definitely not the last time the OCU serves in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

Tkachenko noted that at Christmas the laurel is born again.
