It is very important that a sincere prayer for Ukraine has been and will be heard in the Lavra today. And that no one else will make Ukrainian a stranger in the Lavra. Ukrainian independence must be strong in all its elements. And it will be. Forever. We provide this with you,” Zelensky said.

Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a shrine, which is one of the sources of Ukrainian cultural tradition.

Notice! The Ukrainians were pleased with the news that January 7 is definitely not the last time the OCU serves in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

Excursion into history from Tkachenko

Alexander Tkachenko recalled that more than three hundred years ago, tsarist Moscow seized the property of the Lavra throughout Ukraine. At the same time, the Kyiv princes built the shrine, and decorated it during the time of Ivan Mazepa and Peter Mohyla.
