EU allows vaccinated EU citizens free travel

Citizens and residents of EU countries who have undergone a full vaccination at least 14 days before the trip will be able to move freely within the block, the Portuguese Prime Minister in the European Union said on Twitter.

The proposal of the European Commission was approved by the permanent representatives of the 27 EU countries.

Also, the EU authorities will expand the list of safe regions to visit. The EU vaccination certificate system will be phased in from mid-June, allowing for the gradual renewal of freedom of movement in the community.

Earlier it was reported that COVID certificates are starting to operate in the EU. From June 1, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Poland and some other European countries began to issue COVID certificates. Prior to that, it became known that the EU COVID certificates will be issued in the form of a QR code or in paper form.
