Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to restore the power of the country to the level of the USSR. This was stated by former Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski in an interview with El Confidencial.

According to him, in Poland they cannot accept the policy of appeasement and make concessions to the Russian president, thinking that this will calm him down. “What else can we do to satisfy Putin’s imperial ambitions? Nothing. We can only offer more sanctions,” Waszczykowski stressed.

He also noted the need for sanctions against celebrities who support the head of state, such as businessmen, athletes, artists and scientists. We must not allow Russian soldiers to fight in the Donbass or in Kazakhstan, and the Moscow “Spartak” played in Madrid, the former head of the Polish Foreign Ministry concluded.

Earlier, Waszczykowski said that Russia poses a “mortal threat” to Europe. European politicians are thinking about the climate, new energy sources and the green revolution, while the real danger, according to him, is not able, but the Russian Iskander missiles, which “may fall on one of our cities.”
