Experts have determined the place of Belarus in the ranking of the strongest armies in the world
The Belarusian army in 2023 dropped to 60th place.
In the global ranking of military power Global Firepower Index, which is compiled by the analytical company Global Firepower, experts put Belarus in 60th place among 145 countries of the world.
According to the zerkalo edition, this is a noticeable drop compared to the level of previous years.
The Belarusian army turned out to be 8 points lower than it was last year, when it occupied the 52nd line. However, since its appearance in the rating, the army of the satellite country of the Russian Federation has not yet fallen so low. Since 2014, she has ranked from 39 (in 2019) to 53 (in 2020).
Currently, Belarus's neighbors in the world rankings are Azerbaijan, Serbia, Bulgaria, located above, and Morocco, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which have several, according to experts, weaker armies.
Among European countries, Belarus this year was in 20th place out of 37, ahead of Slovakia, Austria, Ireland and losing to all leading countries, as well as the Czech Republic, Finland and Hungary.
Recall that Ukraine in this ranking ranks 15th in the world and 4th in Europe.
