Explosions in Dzhankoy should stop supplies of occupiers in Zaporozhye and Kherson region – General Staff
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the explosions in Dzhankoy on March 20. They told how it will affect the supply of weapons to the invaders.
The acting head of the Main Directorate of Combat Shock Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Sergei Baranov, said that the purpose of the explosions in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy in the Ukrainian Crimea was to completely or partially stop the logistical support of Russian groups in the occupied regions of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. He spoke about this during the briefing. 24 Channel.
How the damage to the railway near Dzhankoi will affect the logistics of the Russians
According to him, the explosions in Dzhankoy will not destroy the enemy's supply of ammunition to the Crimea, because other railway junctions are still located, in particular, in Simferopol. At the same time, he stressed that strikes against Dzhanka could interfere with the provision of the occupiers in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
Dzhankoy is one of the nodes that are on the branch of the logistics route, which, for example, goes to Melitopol or Kherson. Therefore, one of the reasons for inflicting such a defeat was just either a complete stop or obstruction of the logistical support of those enemy groupings that are on our territory,” he said.
