On the evening of Monday, October 4, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, which are part of the company, crashed.
According to the Downdetector portal, already at 18:30 Moscow time, Instagram and WhatsApp users reported access problems. An hour later, Facebook representatives confirmed the problem.
“We are aware that some people are having problems accessing our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the company said in a Twitter post.
A similar notification appeared on Instagram's Twitter account.
As of 20:20 Moscow time, Facebook and Instagram sites and applications still won't open, and no messages are sent to WhatsApp.
At the beginning of September, a failure occurred in the work of electronic services of the courts of St. Petersburg, e-mail and the “Electronic Justice” service did not work. The problems lasted for at least several days.
