Finland renews travel restrictions again

The Finnish authorities have once again extended the restrictions on entry into the country from all Schengen countries. According to the press service of the country's government, the border will be closed until April 30, 2021.

It is noted that such measures have been taken to contain the spread of COVID-19. It is also reported that restrictions on the opening hours of some border crossing points on the western border of Lapland and on the eastern border will remain.

Until April 30, only residents of Finland and other Schengen countries returning from trips will be able to enter the country.

Currently, entry to Finland from Russia is allowed for family members of a citizen of the country, diplomats, holders of an official passport or a business trip certificate, traveling on official matters, as well as those who have a residence permit, students of Finnish educational institutions.

In addition, from October 1, 2020, entry into the country is allowed to owners of real estate in Finnish territory if the object requires urgent repair.
