The bridge near Melitopol was blown up by the SOF soldiers/Channel 24

Warriors of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the destruction of an important infrastructure facility behind enemy lines in southern Ukraine was the result of the work of the Resistance Movement.

They they add that their work helped to slow down the provision of enemy units in the Crimean direction.The bridge near Melitopol was an important logistical facility on the way from the temporarily occupied Crimea to Melitopol.

It was here that the enemy regularly transported equipment and ammunition by rail from the Crimean peninsula to the mainland of Ukraine – to the areas occupied by the Russians, – say the SSO.

They add that the route played an important role in building up enemy forces, in particular in the directions:

• Polog,
• Tokmok,
• Mariupol.

Taking into account the proximity of the bridge to the Crimea, the need of the occupiers in this facility, as well as the large dimensions of the structure, which is difficult to repair in case of destruction, it was decided to destroy the facility, the military commented on the event.

After careful planning of the operation, it was successfully carried out by the fighters of the Resistance Movement of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The blowing up of the bridge near Melitopol: what is known
