“We are pleased to state that things are better in the EAEU zone and in China than in other regions of the world,” the diplomat said, assessing the current situation. He added that the successful measures taken in these countries to combat the virus “strengthen people's confidence in the inherent value of a strong and truly sovereign state.”
Earlier on October 27, it became known that production of the second domestic vaccine against coronavirus, the drug “EpiVacCorona” from the “Vector” center, had begun in Russia. EpiVacCorona trials ended on September 30, and President Vladimir Putin announced the vaccine registration on October 14.
Over the past day, 16 550 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia and a record number of deaths of patients with COVID-19 – 320 have been recorded. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,547,774 Russians have been infected with coronavirus, 1,158,940 people have recovered, and another 26,589 have died.
