Forest fires in Chile: death toll rises to 22
In a few days, fires in Chile have destroyed as much forest as a country usually loses in a year.
At least 22 people have died as a result of large-scale forest fires in south-central Chile. Another 554 people were injured, 16 of whom received burns and are in serious condition. More than 1.4 thousand people are in shelters.This is reported by CNN with reference to the Minister of the Interior of Chile, Carolina Toja.
