The Elysee Palace announced telephone conversations between French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian and Ukrainian counterparts Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. It is reported by TASS with reference to Agence France-Presse.

It is noted that the French leader intends to hold telephone conversations with Zelensky on Saturday, February 19, and with Putin on Sunday, February 20.

On February 7, Macron and Putin held talks in Moscow – they lasted five hours. Later, the French president said that he had achieved the main goal of his trip: he took a promise from his Russian colleague not to provoke a further escalation of the crisis in Ukraine.
