The French presidential candidate, the founder of the Reconquest party, Eric Zemmour, called for the lifting of European sanctions against Russia, with such an appeal he appeared on the air of the France 5 TV channel.

According to the politician, Paris should be friends with Moscow. “We must stop being a tool of the United States. America is engaged in setting up European countries against Russia, because it is big,” he explained. According to Zemmur, at the slightest rapprochement between Europe and Russia, Washington is trying to separate them. “France could show friendly signals towards Moscow, for example, by lifting sanctions. If I were president, I would say that there will be no more sanctions against Russia,” he said.

French President Emmanuel Macron is the leader of opinion polls and remains the main favorite in the upcoming presidential elections, which will be held in April 2022. Almost every second Frenchman (48 percent) called the politician the winner of the race. Only six percent believe in the victory of the candidate from the “Reconquest” movement Eric Zemmur.
