In France, the first round of presidential elections took place. It is known that most of the losing candidates choose Macron.

It is known that Jean-Luc Mélenchon, according to exit polls, won 21.57% of the vote and received third place in the first round of the presidential elections in France. Similar statements in support of Macron were made:
- Green leader Yannick Jadot – won 4.9% of the vote;
- Right-wing Republican candidate Valerie Pekress – 4.6 %;
- Communist Fabien Roussel – 2.5%;
- Mayor of Paris and Socialist candidate Anne Hidalgo – 1.9% of the vote.
However, far-right candidate Eric Zemmour called for support for Le Pen with 6% of the vote: “I have many disagreements with Marine Le Pen, but she opposes the man who brought 2 million immigrants to power and did not talk about immigration and identity during her campaign.”< /p>
Preliminary data for the first round of elections
According to exit polls, the winners in the first round of the presidential elections in France are:
- current President Emmanuel Macron, from 27, 41% of the vote;
- but Le Pen – 24.03%.
By the way, the second round of elections will take place on April 24.
