Google faces a fine for another 8 million rubles
A new fine totaling 8 million rubles threatens Google for refusing to delete prohibited information, TASS reports.
It is clarified that the court received two protocols drawn up against Google under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Refusal to delete information if it is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.” The court session is scheduled for November 8.
Earlier it was reported that the court fined Google 6.5 million rubles. Under one of the protocols, the company was found guilty of not removing prohibited content. The fine was 2.5 million rubles. Under the second protocol, Google was fined 4 million rubles for a repeated violation.
Prior to that, Roskomnadzor demanded that Google remove restrictions on RT DE and DFP channels. The department said that if the company refuses, it faces a fine of up to one million rubles.
