Alphabet, which owns Google, has mandated that all office workers be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Director Sundar Pichai announced this in the company's blog.
“Anyone who comes to work on our campuses will need to be vaccinated,” Pichai said. According to him, such rules will be introduced in the United States in the coming weeks, and in other regions in the coming months. At the same time, the remote work mode is optionally extended until October 18. The director noted that this would give the company time to recover and “provide flexibility for those who need it.”
Earlier it became known that Netflix is introducing mandatory vaccinations for their actors. For further work, employees “who are in the immediate vicinity of the artists” must also receive the vaccine. In rare cases, exceptions may be made for medical, religious or age reasons.
