It's no secret that Russia is a cynical and cruel state. In the Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, another violation by the occupiers of the norms of the Geneva Convention was recorded.

During the cleansing of the positions where the Russians were located, a captured Ukrainian fighter Alexei Gordeev was found in the basement near Bakhmut.

Lost half my weight

According to preliminary information, Alexei lay in the dungeon among the dead and seriously wounded brothers for 42 days. The prisoner ate crumbs and drank from puddles. A month and a half later, Gordeev lost weight from 80 to 42 kilograms.

Stratcom adds that the Ukrainian soldier was found and released by a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from New Zealand.

While Aleksey is in the hospital in the Dnieper. He was operated on and is now being treated for poisoning and dystrophy.

This is yet another act of inhumanity by Russian terrorists. Their cruel actions against Ukrainian captives have already been repeatedly recorded. We call on international organizations to respond to these crimes.

They add that the world must do everything possible to bring the terrorists to justice.

• The speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevaty, confirmed the shooting down of an enemy Su-24 bomber. According to him, the soldier of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar shot down the enemy “bird” from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system.
• Military expert Sergei Grabsky noted that the Russian invaders are throwing all their efforts into advancing in Bakhmut. However, the advance of the invaders is less than a hundredth of a percent of what the enemy managed to capture earlier. Grabsky emphasized that this is precisely the strategic role of the defense of Bakhmut.
• CNN says that fighting is now taking place around the AZOM steel plant, located in the northern region of Bakhmut. Journalists claim that Wagner PMC mercenaries were photographed in one of the plant's workshops. And one of the Wagnerites said that Ukrainian artillery was hitting them hard.
• Recall that over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 980 occupiers. Consequently, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 161,520 of its soldiers.
