On Tuesday, January 24, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Ivan Luker resigned. However, he noted that his decision was not related to Lozinsky's bribe.

Note that Vasily Lozinsky, First Deputy Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, was detained while receiving a bribe in the amount of 400 thousand dollars .

Why Lukerya resigned

Deputy Minister Ivan Lukerya notes that he made the decision to dismiss at the beginning of the year. However, due to political and bureaucratic circumstances, the legal execution of documents was delayed.

It is worth adding that the official resigned resigned right after Lozinsky's bribe scandal.

  • First of all, it should be recalled that Volodymyr Zelensky announced a number of important decisions during his address on January 23. He stressed that he had signed several important decrees. In particular, those that make it impossible for civil servants and representatives of law enforcement agencies to travel abroad for recreation.
  • On the evening of January 23, it became known that the deputy head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Tymoshenko, was fired from his post. The next day Tymoshenko confirmed this information.
  • Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov also resigned. The reason is the scandal related to the purchase of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • Subsequently, the Office of the Prosecutor General announced the dismissal of Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksiy Symonenko. The department noted that Simonenko applied for dismissal of his own free will. And this decision was preceded by a scandal with Symonenko's vacation for the Christmas holidays in Marbella in Spain.
