How Ukraine can defend itself against Russian missiles/Ministry of Defense
Exactly who gave what commands on the use of non-conventional weapons against Ukraine will be established by the International Court of Justice in The Hague. But judging by the totality of signs, we can already say with certainty that rocket attacks on civilians are a completely conscious decision of the Kremlin elite. aims to force us to surrender on the terms of the Kremlin.
Russia wants to break the resistance
Apparently, General Surovikin was promoted from the commander of the Russian aerospace forces to the commander of this entire non-war precisely because he proposed a plan for massive bombing of Ukraine in order to psychologically break our resistance and intimidate our Western allies.
I can say right away that a full-fledged solution is only the creation of a nationwide air defense and missile defense infrastructure, which includes anti-aircraft missile systems, modern interceptor fighters and a layered system of various types of radar stations. Of course, such an infrastructure will not appear at the snap of a finger.
At the same time, two factors must be borne in mind.
- First: Rashists have a stock of Soviet-made missiles in the thousands, and about three thousand have been fired in Ukraine so far. The enemy has stock. But there is also the difficulty of bringing them from storage mode to readiness for use.
By the end of the week, the statistics will show whether the current intensification of missile attacks was just a blip against the backdrop of the G7 summit and the desire of the new commander of aggression to curry favor with the Kremlin cannibal. Or the rashists have managed to put the modernization of old missiles on stream, and we are dealing with a new “standard level” to which we will have to adapt.
While there is a tendency to reduce the number of missile launches, accordingly, the surge option is quite possible.
More I note that missile attacks on our cities are not a military task, since they practically do not affect the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is precisely the criminal rashist barbarism and atrocity.
As for the attempts to psychologically break the Ukrainians, I personally am much more worried about the attacks on our thermal power plants. In particular, we already have a blow to the Kryvyi Rih thermal power plant, one of the largest in the region.
