Huawei may expand its presence in the gaming gadgets market. Writes about this publication Huawei Central with reference to messages on Weibo.
According to an insider's report, the Chinese corporation intends to release a full-fledged gaming console. It is noted that it will compete with the leaders in the corresponding segment of the global market – the PlayStation series from Sony and Xbox from Microsoft. The specific characteristics of the console were not disclosed. Journalists assess the scenario of the release of the console from Huawei as very likely.
The company will also expand the range of notebooks aimed at gamers. The journalists recalled the release of the Honor Hunter gaming model, released by the former Huawei subsidiary in 2020. According to rumors, Huawei was also supposed to unveil its first PC for gamers, but has postponed plans for release until 2021.
In early 2021, the Chinese corporation released the MateBook X Pro and MateBook 13 and 14. The models are not intended specifically for the gaming segment, but are based on the high-performance 11th generation Intel processors. Also, Huawei may introduce a laptop based on AMD chips.
Earlier, top managers of AMD, which is a supplier of processors for Sony and Microsoft, confirmed the shortage in the console market. Due to the fact that production does not keep up with demand, the shortage for gaming products will last at least until the middle of the year.
