Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyjarto was vaccinated against coronavirus with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. He wrote about it on his Facebook page.

“We can only win with vaccines. Today we made a deal with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manutrov on the supply of Sputnik V vaccines in March. (I also got this vaccine today), ”the minister wrote and attached a photo of the vaccination process.

Hungary has approved the use of Sputnik V, without waiting for the pan-European registration of the drug by the EMA.

Earlier, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi agreed with the opinion of German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the possibility of independently purchasing the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine if the European Union does not reach a common decision on this issue.

Sputnik V is the first registered Russian coronavirus vaccine based on adenovirus. The drug is registered in more than 50 countries. Currently, the development of Russian scientists is among the ten best vaccine candidates in the list of the World Health Organization.
