Hungary closes universities and schools amid coronavirus
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 51 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide. A fifth of them are US residents. For several months the country has been the leader in the number of people infected and died due to COVID-19. In Europe, due to a sharp increase in the number of infected people in recent weeks, lockdowns are being introduced, according to MIR 24.
In Hungary, universities and schools are closed from today, except for primary and kindergartens. Restaurants, theaters and fitness centers are shutting down. For family holidays, up to 10 people are allowed to gather, for funerals – up to 50. A curfew is also introduced from 8 pm to 5 am.
Meanwhile, a 10-day lockdown in France is showing results. There, the number of new cases of infection dropped sharply compared to Saturday. Then they recorded about 87 thousand, now – more than 20 thousand. However, there are more people with severe consequences of COVID-19 infection. As a result, the number of hospitalizations is increasing.

Living in Asbestos: Canadians Decide to Rename the City Due to Bad Associations 6800 Canadian Asbestos residents voted for a new name for their city. Chosen from six names – from La Rochelle and Phoenix to Three Lakes and the Valley of the Springs. As a result, the last option won. For over a century, the city has prided itself on its giant Jeffrey asbestos quarry, which only closed in 2011. Since then, Asbestos has tried to get rid of the old image and create a new one, but to no avail. According to past estimates by the World Health Organization, more than one hundred thousand people worldwide die from asbestos-related diseases each year.
