The International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russian propagandists and politicians were very outraged by this decision. Like, how is it that the killer of thousands of Ukrainians and the man who ordered the kidnapping of thousands of children suddenly want to be arrested.

Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov immediately stated that Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

The very wording of the question we consider outrageous and unacceptable. Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court and, accordingly, any decisions of this kind are null and void for Russia from the point of view of law,” he said.

Peskov did not answer clarifying questions from journalists, in particular, the question of whether the Kremlin considers Putin's upcoming trips to countries that recognize the jurisdiction of the ISS to be dangerous.

And Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev accompanied the post about the decision of the ISS with a badge with toilet paper, wrote that there was no need to explain where this document should be used.

How did politicians and propagandists react?

Russian statesman Andrei Klishas: Having made such an absurd decision, the ISS has embarked on the path of self-liquidation, the Russian Federation must immediately issue a warrant for the arrest of all “judges” of the ISS.

Member of the United Russia party Vladimir Dzhabarov: it would be nice if, for example, the Basmanny Court issued an arrest warrant for the entire membership of the ISS.

State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin: the papers of the alien Hague court do not apply to Russia. We regard any attacks on the President of Russia as aggression against our country.

Russian politician Sergei Tsekov: the decision shows the insignificance, the insignificance of the legal institutions of the West, it will not bear any consequences.

Propagandist Vladimir Solovyov: Russia needs to immediately issue an arrest warrant for all judges of the ISS.
