The Japanese government announced about a new package of sanctions against Russia. It included 17 people and 78 companies from the Russian Federation, as well as 7 citizens of Ukraine, contributing to the Russians in the occupation.

Sanctions were imposed against a number of Russian aviation enterprises, in particular, the aircraft factories “Ural”, “Komsomolsk-on-Amur” and “Irkutsk”, the design bureau of mechanical engineering from Kolomna, NPP “Pulsar”, the GAZ group, the trading house “ROSEL”, the State Rocket Center named after. The sanctions package also included the Russian “National Wealth Fund” and “National Values Protection Fund”, the funds of which are used to finance the war.
Japan also imposed a ban on providing construction and engineering services for Russia and expanded the list of prohibited exports with a number of products that help strengthen the industrial base of the Russian Federation.
Earlier it became known that the United States had already prepared a new package of sanctions against Russia. It is known that the restrictions will affect 300 companies, ships and aircraft. There will also be export restrictions on about 70 companies from the Russian Federation and third countries, a White House spokesman said during a briefing on May 18, 2023.
