Important in the conditions of war: the first in Ukraine Resistance Training Center was created in Transcarpathia
Under conditions of martial law, a full-scale war and, as history has shown more than once, just being close to Russia, Ukrainians need the knowledge and skills to resist the invaders. For this purpose, a Center for preparing the population for national resistance was created in Transcarpathia.
This center has become the first such institution in Ukraine and will work on a permanent basis. Its leader for the first 3 years was a man who already had experience in military affairs – Colonel Yuri Belyakov.
What will be taught at the Center and how much will it cost?
The center for preparing the population for national resistance will be engaged in the training of civilians. At the same time, they will be trained by military personnel with combat experience.
It will include a team of experienced instructors who will ensure the fulfillment of the assigned tasks. This is an important task of national importance, which will strengthen the system of national resistance in Ukraine and Transcarpathia, – said the head of the Transcarpathian OVA Viktor Mykyta.
Everyone at the National Resistance Training Center can get the skills:
- possession of weapons
- tactical medicine,
- tactics,
- location orientation,
- special physical training, etc.
At the same time, education at the center will be free of charge.
Center will open soon
The decision to open the Center for preparing the population for national resistance was taken by the deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council at the regular session. It happened on Thursday March 16th.
A combat officer and commander of one of the brigades that defends our country in the Donbass, Yury Belyakov, has been appointed head of the Center, the press service of the regional council said.
It should be noted that the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military District noted Belyakov as “a man of honor and dignity, who from the first days of a full-scale war led one of the brigades that performed tasks in the direction of the concentration of enemy forces in the Donetsk region.”
Also, according to Viktor Nikita, this Center will have only 6 branches at the first stage. However, later it can expand to 13.
