In India, the MiG-21 was called

An Indian MiG-21 fighter jet crashed in Punjab last week. During the crash, a 29-year-old pilot, squadron commander Abhinav Chaudhary, was killed.

Considering that this is not the first such situation in 2021, local journalists expressed their opinion about this model of a military aircraft. The publication DNA wrote that in India these aircraft are called flying coffins, according to the Military Review.

Indian experts had time to analyze MiG fighters and draw such conclusions – the aircraft series has been the backbone of the Indian Air Force for the last 50 years. At the same time, it is noted that the official service life of these models may exceed this period.

At the same time, experts note that the upgraded MiG-21 is capable of hitting any modern aircraft in air combat. So, for example, back in 2019, this fighter model destroyed the Pakistani F-16.
