In Kyiv, they are preparing for the opening of a new building of the children's hospital "Okhmatdet"

A new children's hospital “Okhmatdet” will be opened in Kyiv

Despite the war, it is planned to open a new building of the Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital in Kyiv in the coming months.

Deputy head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko announced this on air of the Rada TV channel, reports Channel 24.

In the coming months we will be able to do this, and after the war we will be able to move on to the reconstruction of the Okhmatdet clinic, like other medical institutions in Ukraine,” he said.

According to the deputy head of the Presidential Office, Ukraine continues to actively recover from the consequences of Russian military aggression. And although the real restoration of cities and towns will begin only after the victory, right now in the territories liberated from the invaders they are doing everything possible so that people return to their own homes as soon as possible.

In particular, the central and local authorities are coordinating the clearing of roads and settlements, the clearance of territories, the restoration of critical infrastructure, as well as the replacement of windows, doors and roofs in the affected houses. Work continues not only in the de-occupied regions, but also in all territories that have been liberated from Russian invaders.

“I would like to emphasize that we are not restoring bridges, we are making temporary crossings, and only after we are restoring water and gas supplies, clearing cities and putting in windows where we can, repairing roofs so that people can return home. No one is talking about full restoration or reconstruction of bridges or roads yet. and not temporary solutions will be made in the post-war period or with the permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Tymoshenko noted.

He added that every few hours the Office of the President will receive up-to-date data on damage from military administrations, which in turn collect from OTG. This is done in order to promptly make a decision on the restoration at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers or the Verkhovna Rada.

Recall that earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that they do not plan to stop the restoration process in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine.
