The floor of the establishment, located on the first floor of a century-old building, collapsed into the basement.
In the United States, as a result of the collapse of the floor in a beauty salon in New York, three people were injured, including child.
ABC News reports.
It is noted that the incident occurred in the Bronx area on Sunday, December 5, at about 17:45 local time, when the floor of the New Klaman Hair establishment Braiding, located on the first floor of the building, fell into the basement.
A few minutes before the incident, visitors heard “strange sounds ki “and noticed that the floor is moving.” Frightened, most of them managed to run out of the salon.
It is known that two adults were hospitalized in the hospital of St. Barnabas, and the child was taken to the Montefiore medical center. According to the newspaper, all the victims received minor injuries.
According to the spokesman for the New York Department of Construction Andrew Rudansky, the collapse occurred due to the fact that “the owner did not take care of the floor in the hairdresser.”
The situation was brought under control within two hours. Experts who examined the scene said the rest of the building was “structurally stable.” Meanwhile, the property owner was declared a violation due to “failure to hold the building.”
“We also ordered him to hire a professional engineer to draw up an engineering report on the building for our inspection and draw up plans for repairs,” Rudansky said.
