Funds were raised on the Zrzutka.pl crowdfunding platform as part of the Buy Ukraine Bayraktar campaign. The funds have reached more than 200,000 users.
The initiator of the fundraising campaign at Bayraktar, public figure, political scientist and journalist Slavomir Serakovsky, said that despite the achievement of the goal of the campaign, the fundraising will continue for several more days.
According to him, there are many who want to join the fundraising for Bayraktar. Slawomir Sierakowski said that on Sunday, due to the fact that many wanted to join the action at the finish line, the servers of the Zrzutka.pl platform hung up three times.
Serakovsky, a public figure, said that the surplus of funds raised as part of the action will be transferred to the account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the National Bank.
Who else raised funds for Bayraktar for Ukraine
- Volunteer Serhiy Prytula On June 22, he announced that he was opening a fundraiser for three Bayraktar for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the evening of June 24, fundraising for three Bayraktar drones was completed.
- In 3 days, Ukrainians raised 600 million hryvnias, so it was decided to purchase 4 Bayraktar drones. However, Baykar companies reported that they decided to transfer Bayraktar-type drones to Ukraine free of charge.
- Following Prytula, Bayraktar decided to raise funds in Poland. Also, fundraising for Bayraktar for Ukraine was started in Norway.
- On May 25, TV presenter Andrius Tapinas announced a fundraising for Bayraktar in Lithuania. The money was collected three days later, and in early June, an agreement was signed with Turkey on the purchase of a drone. Already in early July, Ukraine received these drones.
