Over the past day, 22,498 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia, according to the Operational Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.

Of the 1,758 (7.8%) infected, the disease proceeds without clinical manifestations. The largest number of new diseases was recorded in Moscow, where 3,275 people were infected per day. St. Petersburg is in second place in terms of the number of new infected patients – 2,055 patients, in third place is the Moscow region, in which 1,215 people fell ill.

In addition, over the past day, 805 deaths were recorded, and 13 671 patients fully recovered from the coronavirus. Over the entire period of the pandemic in Russia, 203,900 people died of infection, and 6,604,604 patients were discharged.

Thus, as of Sunday, September 25, the total number of people infected with coronavirus infection for the entire time of the pandemic in the country increased to 7,420,913.
