Employees of the SBU detained a Russian agent in the Kharkiv region. A 29-year-old woman sent information to the occupiers about the whereabouts of the APU fighters.

The woman has already been informed of the suspicion. Pre-trial investigation continues.

Russian agent detained in Kharkiv region

SBU counterintelligence detained a 29-year-old Ukrainian woman who worked for Russian special services in Kharkiv region. According to the investigation, she arrived from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

On the instructions of the curator, the woman established the coordinates of the location of the military and critical infrastructure of the city, as well as the location of the forces and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine. – told the SBU.

The attacker handed over the coordinates and helped the Russian invaders adjust the fire on residential buildings and educational, medical and commercial facilities in the city center. As a result of these rocket attacks, there were deaths and injuries.

During the search, the women seized means of communication with representatives of the special services of the aggressor country and a significant amount in Russian rubles. The attacker was reported on suspicion of espionage. She faces a severe punishment – from 8 to 12 years in prison.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, informants of the occupiers have already chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
