A man shot down the state flag
In the middle of the night in the Obukhov region, a 30-year-old man opened fire with a gun at the Ukrainian flag. After a police squad arrived at the scene, the attacker grabbed a grenade in his hand and threatened to blow everyone up.
The Vasylkivska police officers did a good job. In a moment, the attacker was handcuffed. As it turned out, he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, – said Nebitov. He is currently in a temporary detention facility. A man faces 7 years in prison for:
- defamation of state symbols,
- illegal handling of weapons and ammunition,
- threatening to kill a law enforcement officer.
“Shameful and unacceptable behavior during martial law,” said the chief of police.
Nebitov summed up that law enforcement officers will respond harshly to such offenses.
