In which countries Putin can be arrested: map and full list

It is dangerous for the President of the Russian Federation to visit 123 states of the world. Putin's next trip to the “risk zone” is scheduled for August 2023 – for a summit in South Africa.

On Friday, March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for the war crime of deporting Ukrainian children to Russia. Now the Kremlin dictator risks arrest if he visits one of the 123 states in the world that is not part of Russia's ever-shrinking “circle of friends”.

TSN.ua has collected information on which countries can implement the decision of the International Criminal Court.

As is known, Moscow immediately declared that Russia is not a party to the “Rome Charter”, the founding text of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, and therefore has no obligations under it.

The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court is the treaty that established the International Criminal Court. The International Court of Justice is responsible for four major crimes: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression.

Russia has signed but not ratified the Rome Statute. Also, 72 other countries do not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, including China, India, Cuba, North Korea and Saudi Arabia.

However, Vladimir Putin risks being arrested in 123 states of the world that recognize the Hague Court. Here is the complete list of these countries:

A possible exit from the safe space of the President of the Russian Federation is scheduled for August 2023 – at a summit organized by the Republic of South Africa. Putin confirmed his participation.

Recall that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, having learned about the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague to issue an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with crimes in Ukraine, announced the escalation of the conflict, which could lead to World War III.
