US President Donald Trump, who contracted the coronavirus, spoke about his health. He wrote about this on Twitter.
The head of state thanked the doctors, nurses and other medical staff at the Walter Reed military hospital. “Great progress has been made in the past six months in the fight against this plague. I feel good with their [medical specialists] help! ” – he shared.
Earlier, Trump's doctor announced that the American leader was doing well. According to him, the president expressed his readiness to be discharged from the hospital, however, the doctors have not yet named the discharge date.
The American leader announced a positive test for coronavirus on October 2. He added that his wife, Melania Trump, was also diagnosed with the disease. The President promised to immediately begin treatment and quarantine.
As of October 3, there are more than 34.7 million people infected with coronavirus in the world, of which more than 1.02 million have died, another 24.1 million have recovered. The United States remains the leader in the number of infected – this country accounts for a fifth of all cases. India, Brazil, Russia and Colombia follow.
