Instagram has changed the rules for children's accounts

The press service of Instagram reported that the accounts of new users under the age of 16 will be closed by default, reports TASS.

The solution is reportedly aimed at protecting children from unwanted comments that suspicious users might leave.

At the same time, already registered users will be offered to restrict access to the profile. It is noted that children will be able to make their profile open on their own.

Instagram will also limit the ability of advertisers to attract children to advertisements, as well as make it harder for suspicious accounts to find children's pages.

It was previously reported that Instagram has a new feature to filter out inappropriate content. Users will be able to choose how much similar content will be displayed. However, users under the age of 18 will not have this opportunity.
