Instagram is testing app crash notification feature
The social network Instagram plans to add a new feature to the application, thanks to which users will receive notifications when applications are not working. This was reported by the press service of the company.
“We will not send a notification every time a failure occurs, but when we see people confused and looking for answers, we will determine if the notification can clarify the situation,” added Instagram representatives.
The company also noted that it will be testing this and another feature among US users for several months. The second, “account status”, will allow users to know if their account is at risk of being disconnected and how their content is being distributed. In case clients find an error, they can request verification.
This past Monday, October 4, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp suffered a massive outage around the world. For almost seven hours, users complained about the lack of access to social networks. Disruptions to Instagram and Facebook were observed throughout the week, but did not acquire the same magnitude as before.
