Instagram will make new teen accounts closed

The American company Facebook, which owns the social network Instagram, explained this decision by strengthening measures to protect children from unwanted comments from suspicious users. Already registered teenagers with an open profile “Instagram” will offer to restrict access to their page.

This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the social network. The press service also clarified that, if they wish, children will be able to open their profile – this decision remains at their discretion.

In addition, the social network will make it difficult to find children for suspicious accounts and limit advertisers in attracting young people to advertise.

The company previously announced that it would create a separate version of the network for children under 13, which will be closed for adults. The regular Instagram policy prohibits children from using the social network, which is why there was a need for a special version.
