Instead of Gaidai: Luhansk OVA may be headed by a military man

Sergei Gaidai was dismissed from the post of head of the Lugansk regional military administration. Moreover, it is already preliminary known who can replace him in office.

The speaker of Volodymyr Zelensky, Serhiy Nikiforov, said that most likely they are talking about the military. Sergei Gaidai himself assured that there were no complaints about his work.

Who can lead the Lugansk OVA

In the case of the Luhansk region, the leader will most likely be a military man, in fact, this was the motivation. As before, there is such an intention among all the front-line and openly front-line regions, as in the case of the Lugansk region, to have a military person in the position of leader,” Nikiforov said.

Regarding what kind of military they are talking about, the representative of the President of Ukraine said that he could not name his surname yet.

What Gaidai himself says about the resignation

Sergei Gaidai said that everything is fine, and there are no complaints about his work.

It's like there is a rotation at the front, someone is knocked over in order to strengthen the other direction of the front. It’s the same here: everything is planned, – explained the Luhansk OVA Echelon.

Moreover, Gaidai confirmed that indeed the proposal to appoint him as Ambassador to Kazakhstan was discussed.

“I have this proposal, which was discussed some time ago,” the ex-official said.

Regarding the likely appointment of Gaidai as ambassador, Sergei Nikiforov replied: “There must be an appropriate decision, I cannot comment on this before signing the decision.”

Note! Information about the possible appointment of Sergei Gaidai to the post of ambassador to Kazakhstan was back in January 2023. Back then, the head of the Luhansk OVA noted that he was a member of Volodymyr Zelensky’s team and would work in the other direction of the front if the President of Ukraine made such a decision.
